No other Sailing Holiday destination in the world can offer more beauty, varied colours and ideal conditions then the Caribbean. In nearly every cove there is a beach bar or shack which makes for a fun & lively atmosphere.
The Caribbean offers unlimited sailing destinations. From the safe anchorages of The Virgin Islands which are only a few hours or in some cases few minutes from one another to The Grenadines, the small chain of islands that link Grenada and St Vincent which are a little more exposed, rawer and a more natural West Indian Character.
If you are considering a sailing holiday in the Grenadine, St Lucia is a good starting point. Also consider the small French Islands around Guadeloupe that are easily reached from Antigua, which itself is a big sailing centre. The part Dutch/ part French island of St Maarten/ St Martin also has excellent facilities, with some offshore cays to explore as well as the nearby islands of Anguilla and St Barts. Finally, the Bahamas offer limitless sailing grounds, it’s super abundant sand and shallow water makes for some tricky sailing, but it has the bluest and most beautiful sea of them all.

Sailing Qualifications
Please note that our yachts are chartered bareboat, under the condition that the nominated skipper has a sailing certificate and in most countries additionally a VHF Radio Certificate.
Latitude Vacations can assist in obtaining these qualifications and for experienced skippers without qualifications can arrange an assessment that will lead to a inshore skippers certificate being issued. Please contact our office for further information, when making your next sailing holiday enquiry.
Skippers can be arranged at approximately $200 per day plus provisioning.
